The project was highly challenging technically and involved the coordination and collaboration of a highly focused professional team of designers, consultants and surveyors to achieve this high quality finish for the RTPI’s home.
The entire building was to be stripped back to shell and refurbished, including new roof, sash windows, shopfront, passenger lift, staircase, lighting, centralised plant, air-source heat pumps for heating, cooling and domestic hot water services, decentralised fresh air for future resilience and of course a comprehensive Category B office design and fit-out.
The energy performance of the building improved dramatically and an EPC rating B was achieved on completion.
