Sigma-Aldrich is a global chemical, life science and biotechnology company, providing scientists and engineers with lab materials, and technologies and services for research and production. We were delighted to work on the relocation of one of the US-owned corporation’s four sites in the UK from Fancy Road in Poole, Dorset to a refurbished CAT A space covering almost 8,000 square feet, just across town in Merck House.
The move was the perfect opportunity to completely rethink the office environment. We installed new sit/stand workstations throughout, offering the very latest in ergonomic benefits for all users. We also created a boardroom seating up to 20 people, complemented by four further meeting spaces. We admit that, at fist, we were slightly unnerved about the colour scheme ourselves, but the client was insistent, and really pushed us to inject more colour into the interior. We’re glad we went with it: the results are highly impressive, make this a real a stand-out project for our portfolio.
The project was completed on time and on budget in just eight weeks – a credit to the teams from InteriorLab and Sigma Aldrich, who worked closely together from start to finish.
